One thing RFK and Fitts don't fully understand--due to a degree of naivete, which every generation has about one thing or another, and which isn't even a bad thing, as it's a kind of blind spot or innocence that sustains one--is that it's not simply that younger people aren't equipped to defend themselves against propaganda, they are the people in charge of spreading the propaganda. They are the new disseminators. They are the propagandists. Since the invention of social media, propaganda is not simply a top-bottom governmental process, it is happens on a micro-level. It is algorithmic and viral. That's why social media and big-tech and the digital infrastructure are so crucial to the corrupt, biomedical authoritarian society we live in today. The digital infrastructure, along with the propaganda of the predatory algorithm (as Nicholas Corbishley says, "All decisions now are algorithm based."), is a system and process of indoctrination. You can't just treat people like they are always the innocent victim because, as we're seeing over and over again with Hollywood, the political elite, and young people today, they are also the victimizers. They're just posing as victims. It's a strategy. That's why Jenn Psaki holds Zoom meetings with young TikTok influencers. People have all the information at their disposal to know the truth. It's out there. As Richard Dreyfuss put it in a recent interview about Will Smith's deplorable Oscar outburst: "There's no boundaries anymore because no one is teaching them to us anymore. No one is teaching us the Bill of Rights and that is ultimately the society's picture of proper behavior. No one is teaching that and no one is calling for it. And that is the worst decision a society can come to. This is not just Will Smith, and it's not just The Academy Awards. It's who we are now. We live now in a spiral of decay. It's bad citizenship."
