“The culture war is a battle about language and who gets to define words…They put up this brick wall of language to deter understanding. If you redefine words and then deny that your are redefining the words, you effectively end up gaslighting the world….We are going along with mass hysteria for the sake of self-preservation.”

I was particularly interested in what Doyle said about the old Puritans vs the new Puritans. The old Puritans had a humility and compassion because of their faith in God. They saw themselves as flawed, therefore forgiveness was possible. The new Puritans have no such humility. They are at the center of their own lives. They are God in their eyes, which makes them superior. Beholden to no one.
