“Aint Nobody Look’n For Love.”

This statement is true, but for the wrong reasons. It does not fight back. That is, it does not fight for love, it merely underscores the absence of love as quest.

How does one write in this world? About this world? How do I? I don’t know anymore. As my mother says, “This world is beyond interpretation now.”

Erich Fromm, The Art of Loving:

“Love is a decision, it is a judgment, it is a promise. If love were only a feeling, there would be no basis for the promise to love each other forever. A feeling comes and it may go. How can I judge that it will stay forever, when my act does not involve judgment and decision? The mature response to the problem of existence is love.”
