1. Ben Stiller also went to Ukraine to give his Oscar to Zelensky, thanking him for his courage, “donating” money in 2022. Or was that Sean Penn? Either way, they both showed both up in Ukraine like deep state puppets to support the Proxy war.
2. For decades, Jeff Bridges was one of the greatest American actors to ever live. I was riveted by him—in The Fabulous Baker Boys, in 8 Million Ways to Die, in No Way Out, in Cutter’s Way, in Starman and King Kong. He could play anything. I guess that was the point. Now he’s a full blown embarrassing idiot-clown. He’s the permanent “Dude” from The Big Lebowski.
Then there’s Will Ferrell with his best friend and writing partner, an old man who is now trans, lecturing people about being “cis women” and “cis men,” after making millions off the trope of predatory masculinity and idiot masculinity (buffoonery). Thanks for the schooling, guys.
The pandering, posturing, and hypocrisy of these completely fraudulent and completely worthless people, in a now completely dying industry, never ceases to amaze me. Take Chloe Sevigny, another socially engineered talentless fraud/plant propped up by decades of coordinated spin (literal brainwashing: same words and phrases declared over and over. Virality and popularity rely on artificial elevation) about being an “IT” girl—none of which is ever organic—and who recently defended (a fame grab) Kim Kardashian of all people (while simultaneously bemoaning 30 years later that Angelie Jolie won the Oscar for Girl Interrupted instead of her wining for Boys Don’t Cry. Oh, the injustice), on her Instagram, claiming Kardashian is a good actress and shouldn’t be attacked for appearing with her on Variety’s Actors on Actors. Of all the people to support and publicly defend—one of the worst and most toxic psyops to happen to women and American culture in the last 25 years, in every sense. Not to mention that anyone serious or worth their salt personally and professionally, especially at Sevigny’s age, would never have agreed to do an interview with Kim Kardashian on so-called serious acting in the first place. But these people’s jobs have become one humiliation/sell-out ritual after another. And if you think some people are immune to this hypocrisy, degradation, and association, think again, as I have plenty of personal examples from my own life that demonstrate that this is not the case. And that people could care less in the end about real talent, hard work, and art.
Everything and everyone has been dumbed down and infantilized to kindergarten level in this country. Politics for 5 year olds. Culture for hacks and philistines. Idiocy and corruption abounds. Everything has been contaminated. All sophistication and soulful mannerisms/faces/voices have vanished. It just proves, as my mother (an art historian and brilliant thinker) has always said, that talent is a reflection of epochs, the times, the zeitgeist, the prevailing values. And when the culture is dead, talent dies with it. You’re only as good as your surroundings and the company you keep. The mark of true intelligence, talent, and integrity is what prevails even when the culture rots and the standards whittle.
It’s like these “actors” and politicians are being controlled and told to do this. Say this. Make these stupid fucking videos and endorsements for a criminal administration and a toxic industry. Remember when Hollywood actors used to insist they didn’t want audiences to know anything about their private lives or their political affiliations because it would interfere with the portrayal of their onscreen characters, being able to “disappear” into their roles. There has never not been a script, but it seems the script has changed. The script is now radical Woke posturing and a complete degradation of all standards and values.
This is the movie. These are the parts now. These are roles. These are the new scripts. This is “acting.” No more movies. None worth watching anyway. If you adjust and adapt to these rotten times, and make excuses for them, or for yourself, you become rotten. You let the pearls fall off the string, scatter, and break necks.
