As I wrote in my book Time Tells, vol1. (much of which is about time travel, time-jumps in cinema, the sci-fi genre as metaphor, the chronology of love and grief), all answers about the future are always in the past. The future is simply what has been destroyed, buried, erased, hidden, encrypted, and disguised. Think of the “primitive” booby trap advanced technologies in movies like Indiana Jones and The Goonies. Who made them? What was the mechanism of control? How did they operate?

The future is the past tumbling out, and forward. Everything we need is already here, in suppressed form.
