This is so true. I think about this ALL the time and have even used it in arguments with people—how, unlike when we watch movies, we are rarely on the right side or able to see the truth in real life. Same goes for love—we cheer it on and believe in it in movies (although much less so now, as love is no longer a preoccupation of cinema, and no one watches movies anymore), we turn our back on it in real life. Many movies about the deep-state are and have always been a form of disclosure, a revelation of the method. They’re not just pie in the sky made-up fantasies. The radical Left’s virtue-signaling so-called resistance ironically now aligns with the political elite, celebs, the war machine, big-pharma, the mainstream Mocking Bird media, Trump-derangement, and corporations/brands. “If you’re looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.”
What do we want? What are we willing to fight for? What truly matters? Who do you want to be? What are you willing to lose and risk in order to have what is true and real?
As Tarot by Janine put it: “The revolution is part movie.”
“When it’s fiction you understand.”
