Saw this OK Cupid ad today on the subway. Is this supposed to make people want to date and have sex? Is it supposed to make them want to get “vaccinated”? It made me want to commit suicide. Zoom in and look at it closely. Are people looking to fall in love or cannibalize each other? One world government. One world vampire (the single serpent tongue). Too much to unpack in this ad. It's SO BAD. So hellish. Meanwhile, everyone on the subway and on the street still has their face muzzled.
One good thing about the horror we are living through is that evil is completely visible now.
But that's also the bad thing. Evil is everywhere, so it looks normal. Appealing
Forgive me if the word evil is too religious or sanctimonious or "judgmental" for your taste. But I am also tired of hiding behind secular theoretical language (also empty and impotent) that creates intellectual distance between events and their true nature. Events and their true motive and true effect. Where are we going with this but hell? The world we live in is driven by sadism and absolute corruption, so I am going to call that evil. There is no point in pretending otherwise to avoid sounding paranoid or hyperbolic or uncool. Not after the COVID regime.

I listened to this song on repeat today while on the train. It made my heart leap up. It has a riff that has gravitas. A gravitas that sounds like destiny. A feeling of destiny that the past often conjures. Memories as respite. Memories as home. A place of protection and knowing.
